Donate for democracy

This year has been a busy one! We at LWVSF want to pause and reflect on all we have

information. With your help, we can expand our services and reach even more voters in

our community.

We ask you to help us make democracy work in San Francisco.

Make a donation, and it will be matched by the board of directors, doubling your impact.

“Our speakers bureau gave presentations to young art students, neighborhood and alumni associations, senior communities, school groups, churches, companies, and others. I’m proud these diverse groups trust the League to provide honest, well-researched, and nonpartisan information on each ballot proposition.”

—Michelle Moritz, LWVSF Speakers Bureau Chair

“I’m excited for the launch of the LWVSF Youth Council because, as a high schooler, it is hard to find civic engagement opportunities and education programs. The League has done a great job reaching out to the young people of San Francisco.”

    —Charlotte Dodson, LWVSF Youth Council

It has been a remarkable year for LWVSF! We held 25 speakers bureau presentations about ballot propositions leading up to the November 8 election. During these unbiased presentations, our volunteers shared the various points of view that people have about key issues that affect San Franciscans. We intend to hold additional speakers bureau presentations to provide even more people with information they need to be voters.

In preparation for the November 8 election, LWVSF created election education materials so San Francisco residents can make informed decisions. With so much misinformation out there, it’s important that people know they can trust LWVSF to provide reliable, accurate voter information and vote with confidence.

It’s because of defenders of democracy like you that we have been able to accomplish so much this year. But we have so much more to do in 2023!

With your gift, we will expand our reach and counter misinformation by producing more voter materials, including in languages other than English, Chinese, and Spanish. We will also be able to support our first Youth Council and their get-out-the-vote project, which is bound to be ambitious.

Make a donation today, and together we will make democracy work for all San Franciscans.

Give early and your donation will be matched. Our board of directors is matching the first $1,000 donated. Give today and you can double your donation and impact!
