Our committees are how we organize toward success. Committees are made up of members and volunteers, and we encourage new members to join a committee to get connected to our work. If you're thinking about joining a committee, send them an email or come to an event to learn more.
The Voter Services Committee manages our voter education programs. This includes our Pros & Cons Guide and discussions, candidate statements, Candidate Forums, Voter’s Edge—and of course, our voter registration activities.
VP of Voter Services: Danielle Deibler, voterservices@lwvsf.org
Meetings: Last Tuesday of the month, 6:00 pm
The Advocacy Committee develops our positions on ballot measures. It works with coalitions and partners in LWVSF's areas of focus to motivate action and influence public and political opinion to affect change. It also mobilizes members to take action on League positions, and assesses and updates local League positions with the membership.
Co-Chairs: Nalena Santiago and Jenny Tse, advocacy@lwvsf.org
Meetings: 2nd Tuesday of the month, 6:00 pm
The Membership Committee manages and builds member engagement. They achieve this by directing our member recruitment, organizing member-only events with speakers on important issues, and hosting just-for-fun events like happy hours and our holiday party. The Committee also supports our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.
Co-Chairs: Cheryl Harris and De Moore, membership@lwvsf.org
