Women Who Could be President Gala Reception Honorees
Kimberly K. Brandon

Kimberly Brandon Kimberly K. Brandon is the first African-American Woman to serve on the San Francisco Port Commission. The Port Commission overseas seven and one half miles of the most expensive real estate in the world that includes maritime, commercial and retail developments. Amongst its tenants are AT&T Park, the Ferry Building and Fisherman’s Wharf. Kimberly was appointed by Mayor Willie L. Brown, Jr. in August 1997; she was elected President in 2000 and 2001. She is currently serving her sixth term as Vice President.

Kimberly has been actively involved in the Port's city-wide community outreach efforts. She is responsible for spearheading the Southern Waterfront Advisory Committee (SWAC), so that the communities in the Southeast portion of San Francisco would be included in the Port's plans for development of the Southern Waterfront. Ms. Brandon also has promoted diversity in staff hiring & contracting to ensure that the Port is representative of the City and County of San Francisco.

She has been instrumental in fostering international trade relations with sister ports including participation in delegations to the People's Republic of China, Vietnam, Argentina, Chile, Ghana and Mexico.

Kimberly has also mapped a flourishing career in the field of financial services.  Currently she serves as Senior Vice President and Wealth Advisor with Morgan Stanley, where she oversees over $200 million in assets of high net worth individuals, foundations, endowments and public entities.  Prior to joining Morgan Stanley she had a successful stint as Vice President and Private Client Manager with the Private Bank of Bank of America.

Kimberly is a graduate of San Francisco State University.   She has completed Cannon Financials Certified Wealth Strategist Mastery Program and holds the National Association of Securities Dealers Series 7 and 66 licenses.
 Ms. Brandon is very active in the San Francisco community with involvement in civic and political causes.  She spends numerous hours serving the community on various non profit boards and is currently active as a board trustee of the Museum of African Diaspora, PACT, Inc and The Young Scholars Program.
