The important work of the League of Women Voters of San Francisco is
typically carried out by its volunteer committees. Committees are made up of
League members, just like you, who share their time and talent to make the
League’s work possible.
Volunteer Now for the Speakers Bureau!
If you are looking for volunteer opportunities, consider the Speakers
Bureau. The League provides objective information about San Francisco ballot
measures to community groups. As a trained League representative, you have
the opportunity to speak to schools, churches, companies, neighborhood
associations, and other groups. Presentations are unbiased and inform voters
so they can decide.
Do you speak Chinese, Spanish, Russian, or another language? You can help us
reach out to groups whose first language is not English.
Call the League at 415-989-8683 or email email@example.com for further
information about volunteering. See the list of Volunteer opportunities below.

If you have experience working with the media, or in building relationships

Help keep the League on track. This committee ensures the accurate and
timely reporting of the League’s financial health.
People with a good eye for finances are needed to help create the League’s
annual budget. This committee typically works in the spring. This short-term
commitment makes a big impact on the League's operations.
Who will the next generation of League leaders be? Nominating committee
members are always on the look out to bring talented, diverse, and dedicated
women and men to the League’s board of directors. This committee
communicates throughout the year and makes recommendations for board
nominees each spring.
Help promote positive solutions to San Francisco public policy issues.
Advocacy committee members track and analyze select critical issues and,
after careful study and consensus, act to influence policy.
