“Health Care Reform Update: Healing What Ails US
Keynote speaker is Dr. Claudia Chaufan speaking on “Learning from the International Experience: A Framework to Analyze Current Proposals for Health Care Reform.”
Followed by :
- Deborah LaVeen, PhD, Professor Emeritas, Political Science, San Francisco State, Ellen R. Shaffer, PhD, MPH, Co-Director, center for Policy Analysis, San Francisco and Giorgio Piccagli, PhD, MPH, President, California Public Health Association-Northern California will update us on current House and Senate Health Care Reform Proposals and outline the action to take now to get the health care reforms we want in the public interest.
- A panel comprised of Marisel Brown, MPH, MSBA, consultant in health policy and prevention and James Murphy, Director, Planning and Business Development, Santa Clara Valley Medical Center will share their views on health care reform. The physician who had planned to attend is unable to do so, but I hope to find a replacement.
- Following this panel, we will wrap-up and show the 15-minute video, explaining Sen. Mark Leno’s SB 810, produced by OneCareCalifornia.
